Brindle boy, fresh & fancy โจ

Ear day. She loves it now. ๐
Finally, a table big enough.
Grooming built for 150-pound Danes โ not squeezed onto a standard table, not rushed through a cattle-call appointment. Just calm hands, warm water, and a dog that finally exhales.
No call needed. No "call for pricing."
Book online. Right now.
What's your Dane's coat like?
Size Matters Here
Your Dane's paw is bigger than most dogs' entire head.
Standard grooming tables max out at 80 lbs. Our hydraulic tables go to 200. Standard tubs fit a Lab. Ours fit a Dane standing fully upright. This isn't a workaround โ it's the whole point.
Our setup, in numbers:
- 200 lb hydraulic lift table (ร2)
- Walk-in tub, 6ft wide, non-slip ramp
- High-velocity dryer rated for double coats
- Dremel nail station with padded floor mat

The Dane Dictionary
Six things every Dane owner should know โ and every groomer who's never bathed a horse-sized dog definitely doesn't.
Blowing Coat
Tap to find out what this actually means
Blowing Coat
Twice a year, your Dane sheds their entire undercoat in about two weeks. It looks like a small animal has exploded in your living room. We schedule a dedicated deshed session โ 90 minutes of high-velocity drying and slicker work that removes what would otherwise end up in your coffee for three months.
The Drool Towel
Non-negotiable. Tap to learn why.
The Drool Towel
Danes produce more saliva than a small waterfall. During a groom, they drool when nervous, when excited, and when they smell the peanut butter treats. We go through 4โ6 towels per session. Yes, we include this. No, we don't judge. We have a dedicated drool-towel laundering protocol.
The Dane Lean
It's a compliment. Tap to understand.
The Dane Lean
When a Dane leans their full body weight against your legs, they're saying "I trust you completely." During grooming, a leaning Dane is a relaxed Dane. We consider it a badge of honor when a nervous first-timer starts leaning into our hands by the end of the session.
Nail Dremel vs. Clip
There's a real difference. Tap to see.
Nail Dremel vs. Clip
Dane nails are thick as your thumb. Clippers can crack them. We use a rotary dremel to gradually smooth nails to a rounded tip โ less stress, no splitting, and we can get closer to the quick safely. Takes 20 extra minutes. Worth every second.
Ear Fold Architecture
Tap โ there's a whole thing here.
Ear Fold Architecture
Dane ears fold in a specific way that traps moisture and debris. We use a gentle enzymatic ear cleaner, cotton (never Q-tips), and a drying powder to prevent yeast buildup. For cropped ears, we check the posting tape and clean the canal edges. This is in every package โ not an add-on.
Show Chalk
AKC secret weapon. Tap to see.
Show Chalk
Show chalk (white grooming chalk, not blackboard chalk) is worked into white coat areas to add texture, brightness, and lift. It's brushed out before the ring but leaves the coat looking magazine-cover perfect. We use it in our Show Prep package and it's the difference between "nice dog" and "Best in Breed."

Six Danes. Six coats. Six enormous personalities. This is a normal Tuesday at Gentle. We built the space around this exact moment.
From the clients
The dog exhaled. So did we.
"We got turned away from three groomers before finding Gentle. Archie is 165 lbs and they didn't even blink. He walked out looking like he was about to compete at Westminster. The dremel took 20 extra minutes but his nails are finally short for the first time in two years."

"I foster harlequins for a rescue and the before-and-after photos after a Gentle groom are what get dogs adopted. I had a neglected girl come in with matted patches and drool stains โ she left looking like a show dog. She was adopted the next day."

"I show Danes at AKC level and the Show Prep package is legitimately better than what I used to do myself. The chalk work is precise, the coat direction is correct, and they actually know what the breed standard calls for. Rosie went Best of Breed three weeks after her first groom here."
